Update!
First, I have to apologize for my lack of posting! Sometimes when things get a little hectic, blogging tends to be one of the things I put on the back burner, unfortunately. Although I wish I could post 23 entries like I did in May, that most likely won't happen now that I'm working again! :) This is definitely one of my hobbies though, something I love to do with my free time.
Speaking of free time... mine seems to have disappeared in the blink of an eye. But I do feel very blessed to have found a job as quickly as I did. There have been so many kind friends/family/followers of the blog that have e mailed me asking how things at Sunderland Brothers are going. Things are going well! I found out (after I started) that I won't have to work every Saturday now -- yaaaaaa! And there are quite a few other girls about my age that work there, which is great! I'm pretty overwhelmed due to my lack of knowledge when it comes to tile/stone. But, I'm catching on. :)
I also have a couple of projects on the side that I took on while I wasn't working which are going full speed ahead. I'm still working on Prestige Family Chiropractic and that project is turning out SO awesome!! I'll post pictures soon! And, I was also asked by a local realtor to help them with color selections on a new construction home which has been exciting too!
Tim and Wilson are doing well! You can find Tim on the golf course about every other day it seems and he is still really enjoying his job. And Wilson, he has it pretty rough... he relaxes with us at the lake on the weekends, chases bunnies in the back yard, and loves sunning himself on the deck (for about 5 minutes, then he's on to something new)!
Hope you all are enjoying your summer!

The Weekend!
We had another fun-filled weekend by the water -- a pool and the lake! :)
Tim caught a huge bass at the lake!
So we rescued him, put him in a cup we found, took him back for the kiddos to see then set him free (close to the lake, not the middle of the road)!
Just a little baby... they live LONG lives and in 40 years he could be HUGE!
My mom and I also discovered this uprooted tree on our walk. There are A LOT of cottonwood trees on our lake, and they get so HUGE. With all of this crazy weather we've had lately, this one didn't weather the storm. Fortunately, it fell adjacent to their home.

Summer "To Do" List!
How FUN is this idea for a little family?!? It's a "to do" list full of fun summer activities to do as a family! Things like, Evening trips to the park, bake a treat (or two), have a tea party, get pedicures (girls only), do a puzzle, blow bubbles, etc. Then, the kiddos can check the fun activity off the list once it's complete! Love this idea! :)

Sarah's Bridal Shower!
Today was Sarah's Bridal Shower in Madison! (Sarah is getting married to my cousin Nick on Aug 28th)! Despite all of this crazy rain and many closed roads leading to Madison, we still had 32 people show up for her shower! :)
It was a great day!!

GREAT News!
As most of you probably already know, on April 1st I was laid off from my job at HearthStone. They closed the location I had been working in and downsized their choice studio. Little did I know the crazy road that was ahead of me when looking for a job in interior design... :)
I figured finding a new job wasn't going to be an easy task, come to find out I had NO idea how difficult it really was going to be! After lots of phone calls, e mails, interviews, networking and hearing "we decided to hire 2 assistants instead of 1 full time designer," "check back in 6 months when the economy is better," "you can work in our design studio for $9/hr," (not that there's anything wrong with working for $9/hr, but it wasn't going to pay my bills)... I was finally offered a job yesterday and accepted their offer today!
I'll be working as a showroom design consultant at Sunderland Brothers! It's mostly known for their great tile (but they also sell cabinets and countertops, too)! They have a huge showroom and work with tons of designers, builders, and homeowners in the area! Although they asked if I could start working that afternoon (lol), I can't wait to start next Wednesday and couldn't be happier to have a JOB! :)

Wilson Loves Ice Cream!
We try not to make it a habit, but a trip to Fremont isn't complete without a visit to Zesto! :)
Lucky Wilson got to help Tim finish his chocolate malt!!
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
