A little taste of Colorado!

Today Jon and I zip lined over a canyon, through the mountains! It was AMAZING! At one spot we were actually going about 40 mph and were 300 feet above ground! Here's a little taste of what the ride was like! Enjoy...

More Showhouse!

LOVE this piece of art... kinda hard to tell but it's SO pretty!

Hopefully you're not tired of seeing showhouse pictures, but I think it's fun to keep everyone updated! Lately, many of my days off I find myself wrapped up in the showhouse project! But it's okay b/c that means the end is near which is exciting b/c that means showhouse will be open soon! Today we got the artwork above the toilet up, which I LOVE! The house is almost completely finished! Exciting!

This weekend we "dog-sat" for Bailey! Bailey is a yellow lab and her dad is a friend of Tim's. Oh boy did Wilson and Bailey have fun or what!!

The Picture That Is Worth A Thousand Words!

I like to look at MSNBC's "week in pictures," they had the greatest picture recently! The expression on this little boy's face when he sees his daddy for the first time in months is priceless...
Expecting Daddy...
Ayden Kaplan, 3, standing next to his pregnant mother Kendra, reacts upon seeing his father, Staff Sgt. Joshua Kaplan, on Aug. 18 in Fort Carson, Colo. Approximately 575 soldiers from the 2nd Brigade Combat team, 4th Infantry Division, returned following a 12-month deployment to Iraq. The Kaplans will be having a baby boy, conceived during Joshua's midterm leave in March.

Business Card!

If you double click on the image, it will enlarge. Below is the front of my business card.
Back of business card (below)
FINALLY my business cards are being printed! Yay, just in time for showhouse! I know the images look very small on the blog, but if you double click on the image, it will enlarge. So excited they're finally done! I am happy with them.

Showhouse is coming right along!

Roman Shade turned out perfect!!
LOVE all of the beautiful moulding!
Vanity, still very unfinished

The artwork... Annette and I weren't quite on the same page here.
We are still a little far from completion but definitely making progress! Today Annette and I met and picked out/hung some of the artwork (the piece that goes above the toilet still needs to be framed), and we also got the window treatment up which I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!! It's all coming together very nicely! Sept. 16th is the designers gala, so we're getting closer to being finished!!!

Pinning Tim's bars on at the ceremony!
Tim w/his Mom!

Sunflower Centerpiece

Beautiful arrangement from Lynn!

Addie can't smile b/c she likes the grapes!! haha!

Run fast Tristan!

Tristan lost his shoe, guess who found it?!?!
Tim's graduation and party were great! We had about 25 people come which was a wonderful turnout! The weather was beautiful and I think everyone enjoyed themselves. Congrats 2nd Lieutenant Wobig! :)

Many prayers for Aunt Deloras

Last week my Great Aunt Deloras' health started failing. :( She is 96 years young and still sharp as a pin! They put her in the hospital on Friday because she is retaining a lot of fluid, especially in her lungs. After Tim's party, I decided to go visit her and was so glad I did! The moment I saw her frail little hands try to clap as my mom leaned over her hospital bed to tell her I was there, my heart melted. She can't breathe on her own, but she told me she is going to come out of it! She kept repeating, "thank you" (for visiting), she truly is the sweetest. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. We love you Aunt Deloras.

KC Trip!

Tim and I spent the weekend in Kansas City! We had a really good time. We stayed in the Plaza and although it rained we made the most of it! We had dinner at McCormick and Schmicks which had really yummy seafood. On the way to KC, we stopped at Zona Rosa which is a new shopping area on the north end of the city, and before we came home we went to Legends at Village West which was another new area west of KC (where the pictures were taken). Both of these areas were really nice and if you're going to the KC area, I recommend them both.
While we were gone, Wilson enjoyed his time at doggy day care! He's tuckered out at my feet right now... :) Life is so rough, right Wilson?!?

Favorite Things!

One of my favorite Oprah episodes is her show of "favorite things." I always love new ideas and knowing what my friends are doing/using. So, I thought it would be fun to share a few of my favorite things with you! I hope you find my useless information... well, useful! :) Keep checking back for more of my favorite things...

Oh, I love my OPI polish! One of my very favorite neutral colors that I wear year-round is "honeymoon sweet" (pictured above) It's a classic.
Another favorite polish, especially for toes during the summer is
"strawberry margarita" (above)

Love, Love, Love this Clinique duo... like mink. Super neutral, goes with everything! You can wear it darker if you're going out, or lighter for work!

I couldn't tame this head of hair w/out "beyond shine." Spray a section of hair before flat ironing... this stuff I couldn't live without!

If you know me well enough, you know this is a staple of mine! :) I carry my Burts Bees everywhere with me! And the best thing about it, it's $4 at Walgreens! The radiance lip shimmer is my new fave color!

Lancome Definicils for the lashes. I have worn this mascara for the longest time and probably always will... never lets you down. :)

Flowerbomb Fragrance. A little pricey, but a squirt or two goes a long way!

Oh I LOVE my glide floss! My teeth are really close together so this is the only floss that gets between them! :) It's a good one, plus it comes in whitening!

Since my dentist recommended I start using ACT mouthwash 2 years ago, I haven't had a cavity! Yay! Boo cavities.

Love these running shorts b/c they don't ride up... the Nike Tempo.
And, the best running shoe hands down... the Asics Nimbus.

Tim's Combat Shoot

Soldiers from Camp Ashland took home the most awards!

A closer look at their winnings! :)
Tim's team took 1st Place in the Combat Assault Competition!

Just another day at the "office," as Tim would say!

Shooting their targets

The Army version of "shade" on a 102 degree day!

Dinner at Ryan's Bistro!

Mom & Dad
My brother & I
Dinner at Ryan's Bistro was so yummy! I highly recommend it! I ordered chicken and it had a yummy artichoke/pesto sauce on top, my dad had a scampi pasta, mom had a filet pasta and Jonny had ahi tuna salad! If you go on a weekend, you will need a reservation b/c it's a busy spot and it's pretty small inside. If you're looking for a good place for dinner and haven't been, this is a good choice! :)
P.S. Please make sure I get the "wear a bright-colored shirt" memo next time! ;)
