Spider Picks!

Aren't these the cutest party picks?! I saw them online today and wanted to post them for you to see! They would be the cutest accessory to a Halloween party! :) And they seem pretty simple to make! With scissors, cut the bugs off plastic spider rings (available at party stores), then puncture their centers with a needle tool (from crafts stores). Insert the toothpick into the hole from bottom; color tip with a black marker. Set out with nibbles, such as mini mozzarella balls.

A Little Wilson For Ya!

Believe me, it's no secret how I feel about this dog! I thought I must share this picture with you! I wish I could say I taught him to wink, but the true story is that this was another Wilson photo-op. I was taking pics with my phone of his cute self and I have NO idea how I caught him mid-wink, much to my surprise I was looking through the pics I had taken and there it was... the wink! ;)

Our 3rd Anniversary!

I can hardly believe 3 years ago today Tim and I got married! Wow, time goes by SO fast! Unfortunately, we weren't able to spend it together but he did send me these beautiful flowers! In exactly 1 month from today, Tim will complete his training in Oklahoma. Wilson and I are looking forward to him being home! :)

Doing What I Love!

Concept 1

Concept 2

Concept 3

Lately, I have been keeping busy with some projects outside of work. One of the projects being a chiropractic office in Gretna. My cousin, Jim, is planning on moving his practice to the Omaha-area and asked me to be a part of planning the interior! Myself along with a friend of mine who is a commercial designer are working together on this project and we're having a lot of fun! Jim and I met this morning, and I thought I'd share some of the ideas we have come up with so far! Enjoy!

Market To Market Pics

The Finishing Team! Even Wilson got to be in this pic!
Lynette handing off baton to Melissa

Running my most difficult stage (2). Almost all uphill on gravel roads.
As promised, I said I would post more Market To Market pictures. There weren't a lot of pics taken this day, as I think no one felt too 'photogenic!' :)

Fun With The Girls!

Last night Katie Jo, Laura and I went downtown to the Old Market and had sushi at Blue! As always, we had a blast! Gotta love having good girlfriends! :)

Market To Market This Saturday!

Well ready or not the Market To Market run is only 2 days away!! I am both excited and nervous! It's going to be a frigid one for sure, we're expecting our first SNOW this Saturday and it's projected to only be a high of 38 degrees. BRRRR! I am sure we'll be running with multiple layers of clothes on! The first leg I run (6mi) will be the coldest b/c the race starts in the Omaha Old Market at 6 a.m. We're expected to finish in the Lincoln Haymarket around 6:00 p.m. I'll post pics soon!

On The Road Again!

Just as I was getting used to having Tim back, he will be leaving again. This time he's off to Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Fort Sill is about 1 hour southwest of Oklahoma City. He will be doing Field Artillery Training while he is there. It mostly consists of day/night navigation, weapons training, and physical fitness. He will get most of his evenings and weekends off and he will also get his cell phone, so it will be quite different from his Officer School (when he didn't get any of those privileges). He will be living on base while he's there and will complete this training around Nov. 21st. Wilson and I are hoping these 6 weeks go by fast. :)

Final Days Of Designer Showhouse

A view of the Kitchen
Master Dressing Room

2nd Floor Guest Bath

Tonight will be my last evening of working at the Designer Showhouse. What a wonderful experience it has been; from the very first meeting where we did 'room draws' to giving a 'designer guided tour' of the completed mansion to a group of women from the red hat society! It has been so fun! Thank you to all of my friends and family who have shown so much support and interest in the project. I hope seeing the finished product was as enjoyable for you as it was for me. If you haven't been able to visit yet, there's still time! The last day Showhouse will be open is Sunday! It's well worth the time to see it! Above I have posted a few pictures of the completed project. Enjoy!
